Lidiia Batig worked as a journalist at the press office at the “Spiritual greatness of Lviv” website and also cooperates with Lviv City Council. Partly due to her own religion, family history and the current situation in Ukraine made religious journalism her calling. She understands that in the difficult circumstances of the time and society in which we now live we should not oppose each other’s differences but we should seek ways to find compromise. After completing her studies in Italy, Lidiia started to write a book about experience of interreligious dialogue in Rome and in and Jerusalem. She also actively works with Libertas, which is a Center for inter-confessional and interreligious dialogue, and organizes various Christian-Judeo-Muslim round tables.
Educational Background includes: MA in Religious Journalism, Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv, Ukraine; MA in Journalism, Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Lviv, Ukraine, 2012; Diploma in Interreligious Studies, St. Thomas Aquinas University, Rome, Italy, 2016; Licenza, Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences (Pontifical Lateran University, Rome, Italy), 2022. Miss Batig is currently working on her PhD dissertation, titled “Challenges of Modern Jewish-Christian Marriage: Biblical Examples on Building Spousal Intimacy (Esther and Ahasuerus, Ruth and Boaz, Bathsheba and David)”.
