Elena Dini appointed as Senior Program Manager in Rome

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Elena Dini as Senior Program Manager of the John Paul II Center for Interreligious Dialogue. Ms. Dini is herself an alumna of the Russell Berrie Fellowship at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, obtaining her diploma in interreligious studies as a member of Cohort VII. Ms. Dini officially took up her position on October 1, 2020. Based in Rome, Italy, she will be part of the leadership team supporting the Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Studies and more than 100 alumni of the program who are now John Paul II Leaders in Interreligious Dialogue around the world. She will also help strengthen partnerships with other organizations working in the field of interfaith dialogue.

“After the year I spent as a Russell Berrie Fellow in 2014-2015 I have always enjoyed being connected with the John Paul II Center for Interreligious Dialogue and the other John Paul II Leaders who are based all around the world making me feel part of a large family committed to interreligious dialogue. I am really excited about the chance of working more directly with each of them, with the Fellows and with the many friends and partners of the Center supporting a culture of encounter and strengthening the bonds of human fraternity as Pope Francis keeps reminding us” – Ms. Elena Dini

Ms. Dini received both a B.A. and Licentiate in Missiology at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana. She also brings extensive experience in Communications and Journalism and has published a number of articles and given lectures in the field of interreligious dialogue. We are delighted to have her energy and enthusiasm as part of this next phase of the development of the John Paul II Center programs.
