Jan began the formation program with the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in Rome (Feb. 2019), after leaving his ministry at Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church in Southall, London, UK.

Between 2009 and 2018, he had the privilege of collaborating with many faith-based and secular organizations in London, e.g., the RC Diocese of Westminster, Jesuit Refugee Services, and Citizens UK. One of his responsibilities was to form part of the multi-faith leadership team that engaged local Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian communities in activities promoting community cohesion, reconciliation, and healing.

He also served the poor, immigrant, and refugee communities in Liverpool (England), Tijuana (Mexico), Kolkata (India), or Ceuta (North Africa). He has always been passionate about empowering the disadvantaged communities and accentuating their strengths in civil society for the common good.

Jan professed his first religious vows in Assisi, Italy (Feb. 2020), made the perpetual profession in Garrison, New York (Jan. 2023), and completed his S.T.L. degree in theology with specialization in ecumenism and interreligious dialogue at the Angelicum, Rome (Feb. 2023).

Having spent several months in the SA Franciscan community in Lima, Perú, he takes his final steps towards ordination to the diaconate (Oct. 2023 in Garrison, NY), and subsequently, to the presbyterate as a Friar of the Atonement (in 2024).
