Halil Avci
Halil Avci is currently a PhD student at Georgetown University. His previous education was in Islamic Theology at the Eberhard-Karls University Tübingen and in Systematic Theology at the University of St Andrews. His research interest in Theology focuses on inter-religious encounter from a comparative perspective. In addition to the study of inter-religious relations, he looks at the ways in which a religious tradition is understood by looking at it in a wider sense – its relation to arts, cultural heritage, and linguistic difference. Halil is taking lots of fond memories from the fellowship at the Angelicum in Rome in Interreligious Studies. He lives together with his wife in Washington D.C.
