Bernadette McGonigle

Bernadette is a legal aid lawyer, specializing in refugee law and family law. She previously worked in Mindanao, the Philippines in Peace and Reconciliation and was also on mission in Syria working on the resettlement of Iraqi refugees.  She was also involved in the setting up of an interfaith project in Lebanon for Syrian refugees. Her interest relates to the role of religion as a ground of persecution in refugee claims and the role of interreligious dialogue in peace and reconciliation.
